Please help with "Bluescreen" error.
I have an issue with my machine that consists of an, Asus M4N I think with an X4 940 also has an GTX 260. The problem I kept having was that my dual monitors kept turning off. The screens would go to stand by then come back on, then I would get a notification that the display driver had quit working... I reinstalled the drivers etc. It seems that I have very un reliable unclean power in my office, I bough an APC 1500 and it clicks on constantly. Since using the APC the driver error with Nvidia seems to have gone away. The problem is that the computer just hangs and the screens go black. Some times it reboots sometimes it just sits there. Sometimes if it reboots it comes up that windows has had an error and it says "Bluescreen" was the problem. I have yet to see a BSOD just the screens go off and comp seems to hang. I reinstalled and cleaned all of the drivers (chipset GFX etc.) and the problem still persists. Any help would be great. I even did a repair on Win 7. Could this be hardware related? I have tried a different PSU and GPU. Thanks for the help! Really need to get this sorted. Hi, Given that you have had power issues in the past, and you have addressed the driver issues. I would recommend you investigate the power supply in the PC. Either the unit was damaged from the power or the unit is not delivering sufficient power to the GPU. Check the power requirements of your graphics card vs the power supply installed. But to summarise, I would be targeting the power supply in the PC. Martin

I I have already tried a different GPU and PSU. The PSU is a Corsair 700W more than enough for this rig. Seems to be something with windows. Is there anyway I can read or upload the dump file?

******************************************************************************* * * * Bugcheck Analysis * * * ******************************************************************************* DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER (f7) A driver has overrun a stack-based buffer. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this machine. DESCRIPTION A driver overran a stack-based buffer (or local variable) in a way that would have overwritten the function's return address and jumped back to an arbitrary address when the function returned. This is the classic "buffer overrun" hacking attack and the system has been brought down to prevent a malicious user from gaining complete control of it. Do a kb to get a stack backtrace -- the last routine on the stack before the buffer overrun handlers and bugcheck call is the one that overran its local variable(s).
